Fireball Parents,

Reminder. No Practice on Saturday! Enjoy the weekend. I encourage the kids to swing a bat and pickup a baseball. I had a youth Coach who use to tell  parents " the best practice a kid can get is playing catching and whiffle ball in the back yard with Mom or Dad." 

I know we have not had a lot of W's but I am very proud of the way our kids are competing and I feel they have made tremendous improvement. I look forward to watching them the second half of the year. I hope the kids are having Fun! At this age,the game should be fun! and should be about developing skills for the future. I will continue to rotate players into different positions and I will allow pitchers to throw more pitches the second half of the season. I still will be trying to get a number of kids opportunities to pitch as I feel this will help prepare them for the future. 

I have heard some rumblings about sportsmanship (Not our team - proud that we have shown good sportsmanship) but by other teams and other teams parents. We addressed this as a league issue and all the coaches are reminding their teams to respect teammates, respect coaches, respect umpires, and to respect the other team. I will remind, and ask that of our team before and after every game. 

If you can make it , I will be throwing Batting Practice on Monday, May 23rd at 6:30 at cal-plex batting cages. 6:30-7:30. This is not on the schedule but I had previous sent in an email.  Next Game at Cal Plex CP 2 wed, May25th at 6:30. Bp 45 min before if you can make it.

I wanted to make sure everyone saw the change on the schedule from earlier this week. Tonights game WED, MAY 11 will be played at CAL PLEX . field 2. CP2. at 6:30. I will be at the ball park about 5:45 at the batting cages if your kids would like to take batting practice before the game.
